To some people, having a superstition is a way to follow a pattern, like believing that if you want prosperity you need to use white clothes on the new year's eve to reach it. Of course that some person think that this is bullshit, but others think that if you don't do some sort of ritual to get something in life, you will not get it.

Can belief in superstitions be considered healthy for the individual?
Sometimes yes, but when someone makes rituals or superstitions to get everything in life, it may be considered bad. The person may be "blind" to the real life and really believe that you only get something that you want if you do something (superstitious) to get it.
Some superstitious people, are ashamed to declare that they are superstitious. They make hidden things, like cross fingers when nobody is looking and even say that superstitions are silly things.
I really think that some superstitions are nice and brings some kind of hope to the person. Just don't miss all your life making superstitions and believing in every single one of them. ☺✌☺
